Absolutely spectacular service. We knew it was a sign from are dearly departed mum that we should contact Evelyn's funerals (my daughter's name is Evelyn and we grew up in Heatherside) and we made the best choice. Everything was handled with such care by Amanda and team. We couldn't have coped without you. Thank you for giving my mum the funeral she deserved.

They have been there for us from the day I contacted them, nothing was to much to help us at this heart breaking time. They have taken away the stress at this overwhelming time. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received from Amanda and her team. From my initial inquiry, which was dealt with in a most compassionate and professional way to our final meeting at the funeral itself, I felt that I was in safe hands. Amanda made it clear from the beginning that the arrangements could be completely tailored to my requirements, i.e. as simple or elaborate as I wanted. She went through all the costs that were involved and arranged for me to meet Fiona who I was very happy to have as the celebrant conducting the service. She also put me in touch with a florist and a lady who produced the order of service booklets, both of which did a lovely job.

A heartfelt thanks for your expert and sensitive handling of our Mothers' care and cremation earlier this year. Evelyn's Funerals' support and advice throughout the whole process and conduct during the service was dignified and gracious. I highly recommend this company.

From the first time we contacted Evelyn Funeral directors regarding the passing of our dad, we had the best service we could possibly ask for! Our well-being, as a family was priority. Their team of funeral specialists were there every step of the way and gave our dad the best ‘send off’ as possible! They were tentative and compassionate and nothing was too much trouble for them. They recommended our Celebrant, Aimee, who was excellent and our Florist, Steph who designed our flowers to better than we could wish for! It would very hard to exaggerate the quality of the personal service received. From initial contact before the expected decease, sympathetic and dignified removal of the deceased from the house, straightforward presentation of options for the funeral, no attempt at selling “add ones” quite the contrary in fact, “do you really want or need” featured quite a lot. However, all “bells and whistles” there if you want them . Professional advice freely given from their experience. Introduction to local florist and printer for order of service - both small businesses at reasonable cost who provided excellent service and liaised with the undertaker to ensure a coordinated service. Lots of contact in the run up to the funeral - nothing was too much trouble for Amanda and the team who are clearly well used to dealing with stressed individuals. We used them on recommendation and were very pleased. The service provided was exactly what we needed and wanted.

Amanda dealt with the funeral of my father compassionately and looked after all the arrangements therefore allowing my sister and I to deal with other family matters. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services

At a very difficult time with my mother passing unexpectedly of Covid 19, Evelyn's Funerals were a pleasure to deal with. I dealt with Amanda throughout, she was sincere and most of all overly informative which was immensely helpful as I was unsure of what to do in the current climate. I have taken my time to write this review since my mother died on 2nd September and had her funeral 29th September as it is very important to get the words right. We met Amanda a short time before Mum died and she helped us put in place all the arrangements. She took care of Mum when she passed and she took care of us all the time. Nothing was too much trouble, we could contact her day or night, however small the worry. She was kindness and support personified throughout. She and her team were professional throughout, but with a very human touch. I will never forget her and am so extremely grateful. I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough.

Amanda, her sister and all the team have been the most wonderful support since mum, Janie Thomson, died on 2 September. A friend had recommended Amanda and she has made a difficult process so much easier and I will be eternally grateful for her kindness, empathy, professionalism, attention to every little detail, being constantly available whenever we needed. When she says you can ring any time, she really does mean it. I felt total confidence in every arrangement Amanda made for us.
